Spring 2024

The next session is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 8th, and will include First Section, Second Section (Part 2), First Section Review, and several Advanced Studies sessions. Introductory Class
Want to learn more about T’ai Chi? Try a single class for free! We will cover the origins, the basic principles, learn the beginning movements and see a demonstration of the 37-Posture Cheng Man-Ch’ing Yang style form. Monday, June 3rd, 6:30-7:30pm Please use the Registration page to express your interest in participating. Accepting wait list requests.

First Section
If you are new to T’ai Chi or returning and want to relearn, this is the class for you. The classes teach the postures and movements of the first section of the Cheng Man-Ch’ing Yang-style form, fundamental Tai Chi principles and energies, and basic application concepts.
Twice weekly, Mondays and Thursdays, from April 8-May 23, 6:30-7:30pm (13 classes). Class on Saturday, May 11 instead of May 16, no class on Monday, May 20th.
This class is full, so please contact me to be placed on the waiting list.
$225 for first time students, $175 for returning First Section students.

Second Section (Part 2)
Because there are twice as many movements in the Second Section, it is taught in two parts. Understanding the postures of Part 1 (up to Fair Lady Works at the Shuttle) is a pre-requisite. Classes are 7:30-8:30pm on April 8, 11, 15, 22, 25, 29, May 6, 9, 13 (9 classes)
$150 for first time students, $120 for returning Second Section students.

First Section Review
The First Section Review class reviews postures through Cross Hands.
Every other Thursday 7:30-8:30pm – April 18, May 2, 23 (3 classes)
$40 for all classes, $20 per class individually

Advanced Studies
Direction, correction, and exploration. Studies include form in flow, holding postures, correction, standing meditation, discussion, and Tui Shou, or “push hands”.
Second Tuesdays each month, 90 minutes, 6:00-7:30pm, $20 per session
May 14, June 18 (3rd Tuesday), July 9, August 13

Deposits and class fees
Class fees are due on or before the first day of classes. If a class is close to full, a small deposit may be required to hold your place in class.
